Read more about Whistler and Pemberton
- Can you do Whistler in a day without a car?
Yes. In winter 2026/27 the coaches leave downtown Vancouver from 6:00 am, and the last ones home leave Whistler at 7:00 pm or later, for $42 to $44 return.
- Do you need winter tires to drive to Whistler?
Yes, from 1 October to 31 March on Highway 99 between Horseshoe Bay and Pemberton. Cypress Bowl Road in West Vancouver keeps the rule a month longer, to 30 April.
- Should you ski Whistler Blackcomb from North Vancouver as a day trip or stay the night?
A weekday day trip from Lonsdale Quay gives you about 11 hours in Whistler, starting with the 5:47 am SeaBus. One night in the Village turns that into two mountains, an evening and a second morning.
- Where should you sleep for a Sea to Sky day so you don't have to drive back to Vancouver?
A night up the highway turns a ten-hour coach day into an evening by the mountains and a lie-in. The coaches still decide how you get home, so book the bed and the seat together.
