Access
The park's suspended walkways are not wheelchair accessible, and the bridge itself has steps and sways underfoot. Guests using wheelchairs or mobility aids get free admission and can use the Story Centre, Kia'palano, the shops and the restaurants. Strollers stay in a parking area, and babies ride below railing height or in a purpose-made carrier, and shoulder carriers are not allowed.
A bridge has swung across this canyon since 1889. Today's span runs 137 metres and hangs 70 metres above the Capilano River, and the entrance sits on Capilano Road above the river's east bank. Crossing takes five to 15 minutes. The park reckons the whole visit takes two to two and a half hours on average.
Treetops Adventure strings seven small suspension bridges between platforms up to 33 metres above the forest floor. Cliffwalk is a cantilevered walkway that clings to the granite wall of the canyon for 213 metres. At its highest it stands about 90 metres above the canyon floor. The Story Centre fills in the history with old photographs and artifacts. Free guided talks run all year, and the day's schedule is posted at the entrance.
From 20 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 the park turns into Canyon Lights and opens from 11 am to 9 pm every day except Christmas. Lights cover the bridge, and Wildlight projects West Coast animals such as black bears and great horned owls onto the rainforest in 3D. Canyon Lights comes with regular admission. The park suggests booking an arrival time ahead and taking the free shuttle on the busiest nights.
Tickets come in 30-minute arrival windows at weekends and on holidays and one-hour windows on weekdays, and you can stay for an hour after closing. Anyone under 15 needs to come with someone 18 or older. Leashed dogs are welcome. The park stays open in the rain, and the gift shop sells umbrellas if you forget one.
Worth knowing
- Take the free shuttle from Canada Place, the Hyatt Regency or the Blue Horizon Hotel, and keep your ticket handy, because the ride back needs proof of admission. The 2026/27 timetable gives 25 minutes from Canada Place to the park by way of the two hotels, and the park puts the trip at about 20 minutes in light traffic, so check the seasonal departures in the shuttle PDF for your date.
- Cruise passengers can drop bags at the shuttle stop at Canada Place for free same-day storage at the park.
- Buy tickets only on capbridge.com or from authorized partners. The park won't honour tickets sold through capbridge.ltd or capilanobridge.com.
- Driving in, expect $9 for up to three hours in the small lot, and follow staff to the free overflow lots with their shuttle when it fills.
