Canada Place is Vancouver's main cruise terminal, and it suits cruise passengers from late February to mid-October: the 2026 season brought 358 ship calls and about 1.4 million passengers. The season ended on 13 October 2026, and the port's preliminary calendar puts the next ship in on 24 March 2027, so a winter trip sees no cruise ships.

The cruise terminal shares the building under its sail-like fabric roofs with the Vancouver Convention Centre's East Building, the Pan Pacific Vancouver hotel, the Vancouver World Trade Centre and FlyOver Canada. Holland America's Noordam tied up on 28 April 1986 as the terminal's first cruise ship. More than 30 million passengers have come through the terminal since then.
The 2026 season ran from the Disney Wonder's arrival on 26 February to the Norwegian Encore's last call on 13 October and set a record of 358 calls and about 1.4 million passengers. Peak season runs from early May to late September, and on most peak weekends 40,000 to 50,000 people pass through between Friday and Monday. Ballantyne Pier takes Vancouver's overflow cruise ships.
Waterfront Station is a short walk from the terminal. The Canada Line from YVR ends there, and the SeaBus crosses from the same station to Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. Before the 2027 season the port plans to add shore power at Canada Place, so more ships can plug into BC's grid while they are docked.
Worth knowing
