The District of North Vancouver lists Dreamweaver as a multi-use trail and rates it Intermediate for both biking and hiking. Its layer draws the trail in 22 rated segments on the west side of Fromme. The lower end meets the Skid Road Connector Ascent, and the layer also carries a short Dreamweaver Uphill Twin that the District rates Beginner. Arc'teryx funds Dreamweaver through the Trail Adoption Program of the North Shore Mountain Bike Association (NSMBA).
The NSMBA's trail crew gave the bottom section a huge refresh in fall 2026 and kept the same alignment. They moved and spread a ton of fresh dirt and turned a pedal-clipping corner into a proper right-hander. Berms went into the awkward corners and the eroded sections got filled. The crew also installed plenty of drains on a trail that had none, and the 200 m above Dunell Creek took the biggest dose of mineral soil.
Worth knowing
- Slow down for hikers and runners on Dreamweaver and let them pass, because the NSMBA gives them the right of way on multi-use trails.
- Leave a trip plan with a friend and carry North Shore Rescue's 10 essentials, because the District of North Vancouver warns that many of its forest and mountain areas get no phone signal. Call 911 early if someone gets hurt or lost, since North Shore Rescue charges nothing for a rescue.
- The District of North Vancouver closes the Fromme parking lot at 6 pm from 1 October to 28 February and at 7 pm in March and April, so plan a winter ride to finish before the lot closes.
