Metro Vancouver's trail map marks Twin Bridges Trail green as an Easy Trail. It runs south from near the Seymour Capilano Filtration Plant, west of Fisherman's Trail and close to the main parking areas off Lillooet Road. The District of North Vancouver's layer tags it multi-use and gives no grade.
Twin Bridges is one of the five trails where Metro Vancouver permits horseback riding in the reserve. Bikers and dog walkers yield to horses and their riders, and Metro Vancouver asks you to leash your dog as a horse approaches. Elsewhere your dog stays under control, and it goes on leash in high-use areas.
Worth knowing
- Metro Vancouver opens the reserve at 6 am all year and closes it at 5 pm from November to February, and every vehicle has to be out through the lower gate at the bottom of Lillooet Road by the posted closing time.
- Only Class 1 pedal-assist e-bikes may ride in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, and Metro Vancouver asks their riders to stay under 30 km/h and yield to everyone else.
- Carry a leash for when horses come by, because Metro Vancouver asks dog walkers to leash up as they approach.
