49°20′ N 123°00′ WMore Difficult Trail (Metro Vancouver)Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve
Richard Juryn is a More Difficult pair of trails in the southwest corner of the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve in North Vancouver, and it suits intermediate riders and walkers between Camp Brick and Pipeline Bridge. Expect horses on the west branch, where Metro Vancouver permits horseback riding.
Metro Vancouver's trail map shows Richard Juryn as two parallel lines, West and East, and marks both blue as More Difficult Trails. They run south from near the Camp Brick Bypass toward Pipeline Bridge on the Seymour River. The District of North Vancouver's layer calls the stretch inside the reserve Juryn Trail with no grade, and it rates the short Richard Juryn Memorial Trail sections at the south end Beginner. Metro Vancouver manages the reserve, so this guide prints its grade.
The North Shore Mountain Bike Association spent much of 2026 on a re-route of the climb on Richard Juryn. Crews replaced a bridge in March and cut new trail through the spring, and by June they had split rock and moved a large load of dirt into place. Metro Vancouver's 2026 permit lists Richard Juryn among the trails the NSMBA may maintain.
Worth knowing
