Jenine opened Evolution on 1 July 1995 at 21, after writing the business plan while she worked as a ski instructor in Japan, and she still runs it as an independent, rider-owned shop. It sits at 8-4122 Village Green across from the Whistler Conference Centre. In winter it opens every day from 9 am to 8 pm.
Winter rentals cover performance boards from Jones, Lib Tech, Capita and GNU, plus kids' boards. Backcountry riders can take out a Jones Solution splitboard. You can book a level and let the crew pick a board from your size details, or reserve the exact model and size. Swapping models between days is fine, and Evolution says no other shop in Whistler lets you choose the exact board.
In summer the fleet turns to Santa Cruz V10 downhill bikes and Bronson trail bikes, with the Bullit for riders who want a motor and Transition Ripcords for kids. Bikes come back every night for servicing, even on multi-day bookings, and peak-season rental hours run from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. Prepay online and cancel more than 48 hours ahead for a full refund.
