Fitzsimmons ZoneMay 21 to Oct 11, 2027 (projected from past years)
The Fitzsimmons Express lifts riders from Skiers Plaza in Whistler Village, and the zone holds trails for every level from first ride to pro, including A-Line, B-Line, Dirt Merchant and Crabapple Hits. The Whistler Village Gondola also carried bikes from 16 May to 20 September 2026, and from 8 September bikes rode it to midstation until 5 pm and to the Roundhouse until 3:30 pm.
Garbanzo ZoneJun 13 to Sep 23, 2026 (ended)
The Garbanzo Express carries riders high above the Fitzsimmons Zone onto steeper, more technical ground, and Tourism Whistler rates the zone for intermediate and advanced riders. Whistler Blackcomb had posted no 2027 dates for it by 16 October 2026.
Creekside ZoneJun 20 to Sep 23, 2026 (ended)
The Creekside Gondola lifts riders from Whistler Creekside into the zone Tourism Whistler calls the Creek Zone, and trails lead back down to Creekside or across into the Fitzsimmons and Garbanzo zones. Its 1199 trail carried the Canadian Open DH at Crankworx and the park's inaugural UCI Mountain Bike World Cup downhill on 25–27 September 2026. Whistler Blackcomb had posted no 2027 dates for the zone by 16 October 2026.
Peak ZoneJul 18 to Sep 13, 2026 (ended)
The Peak Express carries riders to the summit of Whistler Mountain, where Top of the World begins, and the zone needs a Top of the World ticket on top of the bike park ticket. Riders per day are capped, and snowmelt sets the opening. Whistler Blackcomb had posted no 2027 dates by 16 October 2026.

Rent a bike at the park
Summit Sport sits beside the Whistler Gondola and is one of Whistler Blackcomb's own rental shops. In 2026 the resort took up to 35% off downhill rentals booked ahead for three or more days, and 2026/27 Epic Pass holders saved another 20%. Evolution Whistler rents Santa Cruz V10 downhill bikes across from the Whistler Conference Centre, and Black Tie Skis of Whistler rents mountain bikes from its Sundial Crescent shop at the base of the park.
Four zones stack up Whistler Mountain. The Fitzsimmons Express lifts riders from Skiers Plaza in the village into the Fitzsimmons Zone, where A-Line, B-Line, Dirt Merchant and Crabapple Hits sit beside the beginner trails. Above it the Garbanzo Express climbs to steeper, rootier ground, and the Creekside Gondola feeds the Creekside Zone from the south end of the valley. Top of the World starts at the summit in the Peak Zone, and riding it takes a separate ticket and a ride on the Peak Express, which ran for bikes from 18 July to 13 September in 2026. Whistler Blackcomb caps the number of riders there each day.
Every trail carries a grade on the park's Trail Progression Scale, which runs from Beginner through Intermediate, Advanced and Experts Only to Pro Line. Freeride trails are machine-built with jumps, drops, gaps and berms, and an orange oval around the difficulty symbol marks them. Hand-built technical trails follow the mountain's rock and roots and carry the symbol with no oval. Whistler Blackcomb's 2026 press kit counts more than 100 trails across the four zones, and the 2025 orientation guide still linked from the park's pages puts the figure at over 120.
The 2026 season opened on Friday 15 May, the day locals call Whismas, with the Fitzsimmons Zone alone. Garbanzo followed on 13 June and Creekside on 20 June, and both closed on 23 September. Two days later the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup downhill took over Creekside's 1199 trail for 25–27 September. Fitzsimmons ran until 12 October, which was Thanksgiving Monday. Crankworx takes over parts of the park for ten days each summer, and Whistler Blackcomb warns of daily trail closures and delayed access while it runs.
Ticket prices in 2026 followed the season. An adult day booked online cost $95 plus tax in spring and fall and $105 from 13 June to 7 September, or $5 more at the window, and the 5-Day and 10-Day passes ($450 and $730 for adults) worked on any unrestricted date. Child tickets start at age 5, and riders who duck a closed trail can lose their pass.
Worth knowing
- Buy tickets online more than 72 hours ahead, because inside that window they sell only at the guest services window at the base.
- From downtown Vancouver, Epic Rides carries bikes free from Burrard Station from May to October with a reserved bike space, and it never carries e-bikes.
- Bring a helmet, because Whistler Blackcomb requires one for every rider in the bike park and strongly recommends a full-face model.
