Howe Sound Inn
The inn fills the second floor of the Howe Sound Brewing building on Cleveland Avenue, so dinner and a pint are a staircase away. Ask for a Queen Daybed View room, which has the Stawamus Chief and the Mamquam range out the window and sleeps three with the daybed. The Double Rooms take four on two double mattresses and have no view.
Rooms come with a full bathroom, a flat-screen TV, a Keurig and a mini-fridge, and the Wi-Fi is free. The brewpub opens at 11:30 am every day and runs happy hour from 3 pm to 5 pm. Dogs stay in the designated pet rooms for $25 a day plus tax, so mention the dog when you book.
In winter the inn works as a base for the bald eagles at Brackendale, which BC Parks says peak in November and December. Without a car, ride YVR Skylynx to the Squamish Adventure Centre on Loggers Lane and reserve that stop when you book.
