Weather and cancellations
The Connector's terms give no refund when weather or a road closure delays or cancels a trip, and they let the company change schedules without notice.
The Squamish Connector is a family-run Squamish company that has carried commuters between the town and Vancouver since 2014, and it calls itself the exclusive shuttle of the Sea to Sky Gondola. On winter weekdays from 1 November 2026 its buses north leave 660 West Cordova Street, across the road from Waterfront Station, at 9:50 am, 11:30 am and 5:30 pm. Weekends and statutory holidays get four runs, and the first leaves at 8:50 am. Each bus pulls in behind the Hyatt on Melville Street near Burrard Station 10 minutes after Waterfront, and walk-ons are welcome at both stops.
No bus calls in North Vancouver itself. The nearest pickup is bus stop 54730 on Taylor Way north of Keith Road in West Van, and like the stops at the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal, Lions Bay and Britannia Beach it works only with a reservation. By the printed times the bus reaches the Britannia Mine Museum lot 50 to 55 minutes after leaving Waterfront. Every run drops off at the Squamish Adventure Centre, the Chieftain Centre on Pemberton Avenue and London Drugs on Diamond Road, and the gondola drop-off has to be booked ahead.
Plan a weekday visit around the afternoon bus south, which picks up at the Adventure Centre at 2:45 pm, at the Sea to Sky Gondola at 3:00 pm and at Britannia Beach at 3:10 pm before heading for the city. At weekends a fourth bus follows at 4:30 pm from the Adventure Centre and 4:40 pm from the gondola. Southbound, the Britannia stop is the pull-out on Highway 99 just past Copper Drive, and it needs a reservation. The schedule prints no arrival times in Vancouver, where the bus drops off at the Hyatt and Waterfront.
A ticket carries one suitcase and one carry-on free, or a set of skis or a snowboard with poles and boots in their place. Extra pieces and bikes cost $15 each. Bikes ride in the luggage hold with a limit of two a bus, so phone or email the office to book one, and leave the e-bike at home. The Connector's terms say its buses aren't equipped for wheelchairs, and small pets up to 15 lb can ride on a lap once the office approves them.
Worth knowing
- Wait outside 660 West Cordova Street on the block between Seymour and Granville, across from Waterfront Station, at least 10 minutes before the bus is due.
- At Horseshoe Bay the Connector picks up to the left of the terminal exit near the taxi stand, away from the city bus bays on the right, and the company says its times aren't set to meet any particular sailing.
- Buy the Connector Pass if you'll make five or more round trips in a year, since its 10 trips cost $185 plus GST.
