Parking at the big sights
Parking
Parking at North Vancouver's big sights costs $9 to $12 at the private attractions and $3 an hour at the District of North Vancouver's busiest parks in 2026, and in summer the Deep Cove lots fill early in the day. From November to February the District's pay parking is off. Mount Seymour asks for an 'Arriving by car' ticket on winter weekends, and both ski roads require winter tires.

Weather and cancellations
Winter tires are required on Mount Seymour Road from 1 October to 31 March and on Cypress Bowl Road from 1 October to 30 April.
Grouse Mountain charges $10 for three hours or $12 for the day in the lots at the base, going by its getting-here page for 2026, and it sells a $60 annual pass for anyone coming back often. Metro Vancouver's page for Grouse Mountain Regional Park prices Lot D at $2 for three hours or $4 for the day in October 2026. Grouse's own page names no lot letters, so check the sign at the machine before you pay. Further down Capilano Road, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park charges $9 for up to three hours in a small lot and opens free overflow lots with a shuttle when it fills. Both sit on the 236 bus, and Grouse takes $10 off admission or a ski ticket for guests who arrive by transit.
The District of North Vancouver charges $3 an hour, from 8 am to 6 pm between 1 March and 31 October, at Lynn Canyon Park, Deep Cove Park, Panorama Park and Whey-ah-Wichen/Cates Park. Lynn Canyon caps a stay at four hours and keeps a free east lot off Lillooet Road near the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. In Deep Cove the Panorama Park lot holds you to three hours and the District enforces it strictly. The District warns that the village lots fill early on summer days and stay full, and it suggests coming by bus.
Winter is the easy season for these District parks. Pay parking stops at the end of October, and the summer street rules in Deep Cove lift as well, apart from the resident-only streets that apply all year. Lynn Canyon Park still closes at dusk, and its lot gates shut at times that change with the season.
The ski hills run their own systems. Mount Seymour turns away cars on winter weekends and holidays unless the ticket or reservation says 'Arriving by car', and for anyone without winter tires its shuttle from Parkgate Community Centre cost $10 return in 2025/26. The 2026/27 shuttle schedule wasn't posted by mid-October. Cypress Mountain posted free parking in all lots for summer 2026 and had not posted its winter rules by mid-October, so check before you drive up Cypress Bowl Road.
Worth knowing
- Take the 236 to Grouse Mountain and claim the $10 transit discount at Guest Services, instead of paying $10 to $12 in Grouse's base lots.
- For Lynn Canyon on a summer weekend, try the free east lot off Lillooet Road, or ride the 228 or 227 bus.
- Pay at Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park with a phone app to skip the machine line: Pay-By-Phone at Grouse, PayByPhone location 4536 at Capilano.
- Mount Seymour shuttle riders must not park at Parkgate Mall, the library, the community centre or the lots by Rupert Station. Mount Seymour lists the side streets where you may park.
