Weather and cancellations
The coach crosses on BC Ferries' Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay sailings, and BC Ferries posts delays and cancellations for that route on its current conditions page. The Connector leaves on time and won't hold a coach for late passengers or delayed flights.
Wilson's Group runs the BC Ferries Connector, and one ticket covers the coach and the ferry crossing between Vancouver and Victoria. From 1 October 2026 to 13 May 2027 coaches leave Pacific Central Station at 1150 Station Street at 9:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:15 pm and 3:15 pm every day. The 9:30 am coach drives onto the 11:00 am sailing from Tsawwassen and pulls up outside Crystal Garden on Douglas Street at 1:30 pm. Heading home, the last coach leaves Crystal Garden at 5:45 pm and gets into Pacific Central at 10:00 pm.
Fares move with the date and time you book and travel, so read the price on the booking page. BC Resident adults and post-secondary students save 30% and BC Resident seniors 35%, and the driver checks ID at boarding. Drivers at Pacific Central and Crystal Garden sell walk-up tickets 5 to 25 minutes before departure at the full rate, and the counter inside Pacific Central sells from 6:00 am to 3:15 pm.
The airport coaches leave from the Skylynx kiosk at the bottom of the escalator in YVR's International Arrivals at 9:40 am, 11:40 am, 1:40 pm and 3:40 pm. Eleven downtown and West End hotels get morning pickups when you book by 1 pm the day before, and the Fairmont Waterfront stop across from Canada Place serves anyone who isn't on a cruise. On Cambie Street the coach stops by the Canada Line stations at Broadway and King Edward Avenue, and the stop at 49th Avenue is out of service for construction.
One checked bag up to 50 lb rides free with a small personal item, and the overhead racks are smaller than an airliner's, so a big carry-on goes underneath. Skis or a snowboard in a bag cost $15.75, and a bike in a bag or box costs $42, each booked and paid ahead. The Connector carries no pets apart from service animals. Book the wheelchair lift online at least 72 hours before you travel, because lift-equipped coaches are few and serve only some stops.
Worth knowing
- Choose the BC Resident fare type when you book if you hold BC ID, because the fare type can't be changed after purchase.
- Leave slack after a flight into YVR, since the Connector leaves on time and can't wait for a delayed plane.
- To join the coach on the ferry, buy a foot passenger ticket at Tsawwassen for the right sailing and check in with the driver at their desk on board within the first 30 minutes.
