What to order
- Single spiralled raviolo in sage butter
- Facciamo Noi tasting menu of off-menu pastas
Magari by Oca rolls its pasta by hand at an open station in a small pastificio at 1260 Commercial Drive. The room has black-and-white tiled floors, and the day's specials go up on a chalkboard. The Commercial Drive Business Society reported in November 2025 that Michelin had given Magari a Bib Gourmand again, and it sits on Michelin's Bib Gourmand list for British Columbia.
Michelin's inspectors point to the single spiralled raviolo filled with ricotta and mascarpone in a sage butter sauce. For a longer night, the Facciamo Noi tasting menu works through a rotating run of off-menu pastas. The kitchen opens from 5 pm to 10 pm on Wednesday to Saturday and closes on the other nights.
Worth knowing
- Plan Magari for a Wednesday to Saturday evening, because the kitchen closes from Sunday to Tuesday.
- Order the Facciamo Noi tasting menu if you want the kitchen to choose your pastas.
