Peak of Christmas at Grouse Mountain

Grouse folds Peak of Christmas into a Mountain Admission ticket, an annual pass, a winter season pass or a ski lift ticket, so the gondola ride up covers the whole programme. Santa sees visitors in his workshop at the top. Photos with him cost $5 each at the Peak Chalet kiosks, and the money goes to Family Services of the North Shore. Breakfast with Santa runs at Altitudes Bistro, and reservations had not opened by mid-October.

The Light Walk loops the lit trails around Blue Grouse Lake. Skates rent for $10 for adults and $6 for children at the mountaintop pond. The Sliding Zone grooms two lanes, and since you can't bring your own sled, a run there costs $5 to get in plus $5 for a sled from the Fireside Hut, with timeslots at weekends. Theatre in the Sky shows Christmas short films, and Vixen the reindeer comes out for talks at noon and 3 pm. Sleigh rides leave from behind Santa's Workshop once the snow is deep enough.
