Ian moved to the Sea to Sky corridor in 1992 and pioneered a property in Paradise Valley. He started out building timber-frame homes before turning to finer woodcraft. His partner Claudia has grown produce for the Squamish Farmers' Market since it began.
The logs come from their own land or close by. They saw and kiln-dry the logs on site. Every board then gets a finish of natural oils and beeswax. Their motto runs "From forest to finery, with respect."
Worth knowing
- Oil a board now and then with food-safe oil to keep the natural finish.
