ArtisanJewellery, Metalsmithing
Effie Baker Designs suits anyone after jewellery that carries a bit of the BC coast, since she sets pebbles and sea glass she collects herself. She sells online and at Circle Craft in November, so there is no studio to drop into.

Effie Baker lives in Paradise Valley about 25 km north of Squamish and worked as a whitewater river guide for more than 20 years. She took fine-art courses at Emily Carr and Vancouver Community College before metalsmithing took over, and she started making jewellery from her cabin in the woods in 2008. Many of her pebbles and pieces of sea glass come from the beaches of Texada Island.
No two pieces come out alike, and she keeps the forms simple. Circle Craft lists her among its 2026 artists for the holiday market in November.

- Look for her table at Circle Craft at the Vancouver Convention Centre from 11 to 15 November 2026.
