OnTheSnow projects Friday 18 December 2026 as Grouse Mountain's ski and snowboard opening day in North Vancouver, and Grouse had posted no date of its own by 16 October 2026. Last winter the lifts started turning on 19 December 2025.

Grouse runs sightseeing all year, so the Blue Grouse Gondola and Peak of Christmas operate for weeks before the ski lifts start. The Red Skyride closed on 28 September 2026 for new cabins, and the gondola carries everyone up until it returns. Grouse's early-bird winter pass prices go up on 5 November 2026.
